Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip garden which was earlier Model Floriculture Center and then transformed to form tulip garden in Srinagar city of Jammu & Kashmir in India. Besides this, it is also the largest tulip garden in Asia spread over an area of the total about 30 hectares. This garden resides on the foothills of Zabarwan Range with an overview of famous Dal Lake. This garden was opened for public in 2007 with the aim to boost floriculture and tourism in Kashmir Valley.

2. This garden cradles in the gentle slopes of the mighty Zabarwan hills. Gard has a manicured lush green golf course in the north, and the pristine Dal Lake almost washes its entrance to the west.

3.Antiquity and an ambiance of timeless regality are bestowed by the nearby Chashme Shahi and Pari Mahal complexes to this Tulip Garden.

4. Entry into this garden is similar to savoring paradise as God intended it to be. The eye gets riveted to the numerous PARALLEL running rows of more than a MILLION multi-colored tulip flowers.

4. The garden is bursting of red, orange, yellow, purple and mauve tulips. Apart from these, there are different multi-colored hybrid flowers. Nature has liberally run confusion with the color combinations of the hybrid flowers.

5. The flowers also have their own distinctly varied shapes. Few are hemispherical like turbans, and others are elongated, many have exhausted petals or just relaxed and uphill flowing petals and sepals that look like ejecting flames.

6. However, each hybrid variety is grown in its unique flower bed which is about 1 meter wide and 80 meters long.

7. Tulip garden was built by carving out seven terraces on a gentle sloping ground; a move in any direction leaves us to spellbound by the multi-tier flowers.
